This medium-sized whale is a constant danger to fishermen in their kayaks. They seem to enjoy tipping over kayaks and canoes and slashing the hapless victims to death with their horns before devouring them. They also like to hide beneath thin ice waiting for unwary victims, and then use their horns to break through the ice, stabbing and slashing at their prey, potentially beaching themselves in the process.
