Elephant Walrus
A gigantic walrus with a large proboscis in the middle of its face. It uses this proboscis to both warm the air it takes in through its nostrils and to produce deep, reverberating calls. Extremely territorial (at least when it comes to other males) but slow when out of the water. A single male (called a beachmaster) is usually found among a harem of less dangerous females, whom he guards jealously from other males with his long tusks. The fights between males are usually gruesome and bloody, but the thickness of their hide protects against all but the most serious of injuries. Beneath this thick hide is a layer of blubber that has a wide variety of uses to hunters.
